Palazzo Mocenigo - Androne

Indulge yourself in the oasis of tranquillity of one of the most beautiful palaces of the 16th century.

Located directly on the Grand Canal, between the Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square, Palazzo Mocenigo offers insight into the history of a Doge's life in the Venice of past centuries. Throughout history, the Mocenigo family hosted some of the world most famous politicians, poets, artists and philosophers.

Among them Emanuele Prince of Savoy, who was a guest in 1574, Lord Byron who wrote some of his most famous poetry in this idyllic setting in 1880, and many others. At the entrance of a tree-lined courtyard there is one of the few remaining examples of Italian-style garden, leading to the gothic-style residence.
